Snabbit, the burgeoning on-demand home services platform, has just announced a significant milestone, securing $19 million in a funding round spearheaded by Lightspeed. This impressive capital injection, which also saw continued participation from existing investors Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, underscores the growing confidence in Snabbit’s disruptive model.

Rapid Growth and Investor Confidence

What makes this funding round particularly noteworthy is its timing. This fresh capital comes just four short months after Snabbit’s $5.5 million Series A round, highlighting the company’s explosive growth and its investors’ strong belief in its future. Based in Mumbai, Snabbit is now the second company in 2025, alongside Slikk, to successfully close two funding rounds within the year – a testament to its accelerated trajectory. Interestingly, both Lightspeed and Nexus Venture Partners have a shared vision for these rapidly expanding companies, being common investors in both Snabbit and Slikk.

Ambitious Expansion Plans

With this new funding, Snabbit is poised for an aggressive expansion. Currently operating in 10 micro-markets, the company aims to dramatically scale its presence to over 200 micro-markets within the next nine months. This ambitious growth strategy will be supported by significant investments in team building, ensuring Snabbit has the talent and infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for its services across a wider geographical footprint.

Connecting Households with Skilled Professionals

Founded in 2024 by Aayush Agarwal, former chief of staff at quick commerce platform Zepto, Snabbit is designed to seamlessly connect households with trained and vetted experts for a myriad of on-demand home tasks. The platform’s unique selling proposition lies in its efficiency: professionals can be booked by the hour and are guaranteed to arrive within 15 minutes to tackle common chores like cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry.

Agarwal reports that Snabbit’s platform currently boasts over 600 professionals, a number that is impressively doubling month over month. He emphasizes the substantial income potential for these professionals, noting that they can earn significantly more through Snabbit compared to traditional offline avenues, creating a win-win scenario for both service providers and consumers.

A Dynamic and Evolving Market

For a long time, IPO-bound Urban Company has held a near-monopoly in the on-demand home services category. However, the landscape is rapidly changing. Snabbit’s successful funding rounds, coupled with the emergence of other players like Pronto, which recently secured $2 million from Bain Capital and is reportedly in discussions for another funding round, signal a vibrant and increasingly competitive market. This renewed activity promises greater choice and efficiency for consumers seeking convenient and reliable home services.
