Celcius Logistics Secures INR 125 Cr in Series B Funding Led by Omnivore

Cold-chain logistics startup Celcius Logistics is set to receive a significant boost with a Series B funding round of approximately INR 125 Cr (around $14.5 Mn). This round is being led by agritech-focused venture capital fund Omnivore, with participation from a Europe-based VC firm. Existing investor IvyCap Ventures is also expected to participate, demonstrating continued confidence in the company’s growth trajectory.

Founded in 2020 by Swarup Bose, Rajneesh Raman, and Arbind Jain, Celcius provides a comprehensive digital platform that streamlines end-to-end supply chain solutions. The platform acts as a central hub, enabling users to efficiently manage bookings and access crucial data in a single, integrated system.

This latest funding round will be instrumental in accelerating Celcius’ growth and enhancing its core offerings. The company plans to utilize the fresh capital to significantly improve its Transportation Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). These enhancements will further optimize logistics operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Celcius has witnessed rapid growth since its inception. The company has built a strong network, boasting 4,000 vehicles, 107 cold storage facilities, 27 distribution centers, and 200 hyperlocal riders across India. This robust infrastructure has enabled Celcius to transport over 1.25 Lakh tonnes of perishable goods, catering to diverse sectors including dairy, fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, fruits, seafood, and vaccines.

With a client roster that includes prominent names like Zepto, Zomato, Maersk, Prabhat Dairy, Baskin Robbins, Vadilal, Domino’s, Keventers, and Godrej Agrovet, Celcius has established itself as a key player in the cold-chain logistics space. The company currently operates across more than 350 cities in India and has ambitious expansion plans, aiming to extend its reach to over 500 cities by the end of 2025.

Beyond domestic operations, Celcius has also ventured into cross-border trade, facilitating the import and export of a wide range of products, including exotic fruits and seafood. This strategic move expands the company’s market reach and positions it as a key player in the growing global cold-chain logistics market.

This Series B funding round marks a significant milestone for Celcius. With the backing of strong investors and a clear focus on technological innovation, the company is well-positioned to further consolidate its market position, enhance its service offerings, and drive sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving cold-chain logistics sector.
