Nuvie Raises $450K Pre-Seed funding led by pedalstart

Bengaluru-based food and beverage startup Nuvie has successfully secured $450,000 (approx. ₹3.8 crore) in its maiden pre-seed funding round, marking a significant step in its mission to blend health with indulgence. The funding round was led by PedalStart, a startup accelerator, and backed by an impressive lineup of industry veterans.

Notable investors in the round include:

  • Mukesh Bansal, founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix

  • Ayyappan R, founder of FirstClub and ex-CEO of Cleartrip

  • Chanakya Gupta, co-founder of Tuco Kids and former SVP at Flipkart

  • Arun Sharma, co-founder and CPO at Qlub UAE

Their backing adds strategic credibility to Nuvie’s vision of building a “Better-for-You” product brand.

Launched in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Nuvie aims to carve out a niche at the intersection of taste and nutrition. Their goal? To transform everyday indulgences into functional, health-conscious products.

Nuvie’s current offerings include:

  • Lactose-free protein shakes

  • Upcoming five new shake variants

  • A protein-infused chocolate bar

  • A low-sugar reinterpretation of classic sweets

  • India’s first protein cold coffee, aptly named Proffee

These products cater to the growing demand for convenient, healthy food choices among urban millennials and fitness-conscious consumers.

Strong Market Traction

Within months of launch, Nuvie has crossed ₹10 lakh in monthly revenue, with ambitions to hit a ₹10 crore ARR by the end of 2025. Their retail footprint spans 100 premium stores in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, along with a presence in 200+ gyms nationwide.

Nuvie is also tapping into quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket to reach consumers faster and more effectively.

Future Roadmap

According to the founders, the newly raised capital will be used to:

  • Expand the product pipeline

  • Invest in brand-building and content marketing

  • Deepen consumer engagement across digital and offline channels
